Melting Pot Candy began with Grandma’s buttery toffee recipe that she learned from her mother, it has been in our family for over 100 years.  Up until then, we enjoyed making it for friends and neighbors only at Christmas.  Everyone loved it so much, they encouraged me to make it available all year.  So, when I lost my job to the recession in 2009 and was encouraged by my friends, I decided to make my dream of becoming a small business owner a reality.  I started selling our family recipe toffee at local farmers markets and festivals.  We are now lucky to call Independence Oregon the home of our beautiful candy shop.  We take pride in our family recipe toffee and our other wonderful handmade products.
